I love a good party, went to one just yesterday, but too much of good thing… Well, you know. So I didn’t stay long, had dinner plans with the family. Afterward, turned on the news to catch up and what do I see? People who’ve been at the party for waaay too long! They’re stinking drunk on political propaganda and have lost their senses. Every time I hear our National Anthem I get goose bumps, but on July 4th when I hear it, I cry. I hide it well but if anyone looks at me they’ll know. That’ll happen this July 4th too yet as I prepare to celebrate this Independence Day I am more exasperated than ever at the state of our politics. The coordinated passionate expression is admirable, I didn’t think they had it in them, but what of the demand?  Continue Reading…

Pigeons

One of the few things that most of US can agree on is that Washington is broken. Within the beltway our federal government’s three branches operate independently, the power of each checked by the others. Continue Reading…

Jimmy Kimmel’s a funny guy with a popular late night talk show which I can’t stay up late enough to watch so I don’t know much about him but if you follow the news you noticed the story about his very personal healthcare plea during one of his recent monologues. In part he said:  Continue Reading…

My friends, our nation is $20,000,000,000,000 in debt. That’s twenty Trillion dollars, and growing at an alarming unsustainable rate. So, who’s ready to give up their unneeded and/or excessive government provided services and/or entitlements?… Bueller?… Bueller?… Bueller?… Right, that’s the problem.  Continue Reading…
